Чёрная птица кружит
Вестником новой зимы,
Дождь в паутинах дрожит,

A black bird circles above,
Herald of a winter new,
Rain trembles in spider's weave,
Winds are blind and silent too.
In lines of the mountain's core,
In withered grass's bitter sting,
In stars that the heavens pour,
There's no shelter to cling.
Claws sunk deep within your heart,
Snow will blanket the fields so wide,
Drinking the sky's bitter art,
The earth will turn viscous inside.
Gazing into the lake's still face,
Dropping your gaze through your very soul,
Knowing the sky's vast embrace,
As the last raindrop takes its toll.
With a cry that the heavens hold,
With spray from the oceans' wild might,
Death, a bird taking flight, bold,
