Ich hab' seit ein paar Wochen
So ein nagelneues Funkgerät,
Das ist der allerneuste Schrei
Unter meinem Armaturenbrett.
Und wenn ich in meiner Karre
Durch die Windschutzscheibe starre
Und mir wird einmal die Fahrt zu lang,
Dann schalte ich mein CB-Radio
Ganz einfach auf Empfang.

"QRX - sy Hexy, bitte kommen!" -
"Ja, die hört doch!" -
"Setz schon die Kartoffeln auf,
Papa kommt im Dauerlauf. Ha ha!"

Ich bin CB-Funker auf Kanal vier, Mobilstation,
Da bin ich jederzeit empfangs- und
Sprechbereit mit meinem Mikrofon.
Und wenn ich an den Knöpfen drehe
Und bin grad' in deiner Nähe,
Ja, dann hab' ich auch 'n klaren Ton.

"Hier Schwarze Witwe. Bin unheimlich QRV!" -
"Wo ist dein QTR?" -
"Das ist meine Braut, hau ab,
Sonst kneif' ich dir 'n Spargel ab!"

Es war schon dunkel, und ich fuhr
Die Ausfallstraße grad' nach Haus',
Da gingen vor mir von den Wagen all'
Die Bremslichtleuchten an und aus.
Und da sah ich sie dann alle
In der Radarmausefalle,
Und die Polizisten lachten bloß.
Und da ließ ich ziemlich locker
über Funk mal eine Warnung los:

"QRX an alle! QRX!
Glatteis am Bahnhof,
Schneemänner mit weißen Mützen!" -
"Halten Sie sich da raus!" -
"Wer bist du denn?" -
"Hier spricht die Polizei!"

Sonst kriegste heiße Ohren, du Schlüpfenfunker!"

Hey, mich haut es fast vom Stuhl,
Und mir wird's im Magen flau,
Da kommt plötzlich so ein Notruf an
Von meiner eig'nen Frau:
"QRX! Hilfe! Hier sind Einbrecher im Haus!" -
"Wat denn? Wo denn?" -
"Müllerstraße 4!" -
"Los, Jungs, nix wie hin!" -
"Hey, Honey, hier spricht dein Mann!
Ich komme sofort!" -
"Komm schnell, bitte!" -
"Hey, kpel, lass' dir ruhig Zeit!
Hier sind schon dreißig Wagen!" -
"Mann, Spitze!" -
"Wir haben den Mistkerl!"

"Ah, die Herren von der
Polizei sind auch schon da.
Aber diesmal war wir CB-Funker

A brand new radio set,
It's the latest craze

And the drive gets a bit too long,
I switch on my CB radio
Simply to listen in, that's all.

"Yeah, she can hear!" -
"Put the potatoes on,

When the brake lights of all the cars in front of me
Started flashing on and off, like a gnome.
And then I saw them all
In the radar trap's thrall,
And the cops just laughed, you see.
So I casually sent out
A warning over the radio, free:

"QRX to all! QRX!
Black ice at the station,
Snowmen with white hats!" -
"Stay out of it!" -
"Who are you anyway?" -
"This is the police, we say!"
