The year 1923, courage in hearts,
Mustafa Kemal the leader, this effort was a legend.
From ashes, this country was reborn,
With resistance and faith, what's called victory was written!
We gave our lives in the trenches, the homeland was watered with blood,
A hero in every corner, a sapling in every hearth.
From Kocatepe, hope blew with the wind, wave after wave,
With the nation's determination, the enemy's fire was extinguished instantly.
With bayonets, patience, every moment filled with freedom,
This sacred rebellion became the voice of the oppressed.
