Kleines Testament

Und eh′ mich nun der letzte Rest
Meiner Geisteskraft verlässt
Die, wie man in der Presse liest
Im Grunde längst verkümmert ist
Hab' ich noch schnell vor Toresschluss
Von Wohlstand, Luxus und Genuss
Von Ausschweifung ganz ausgelaugt
Am Euter Franz Villons gesaugt
Aus dem die Milch der Wahrheit fließt –
Doch nur, wenn der ein Dichter ist
Von dem er angemolken wird –
Bei mir hat er sich nicht geziert

So hab′ ich während einer Nacht
Dies kleine Testament gemacht:
Sollt' ich mein Leben bald verlier'n
Vermache ich mein krankes Hirn
Professor Doktor Pillerman
Der untersucht es, schlägt es dann
Mit einer Nudelrolle platt
Und kocht es aus bei tausend Grad
Und legt es dann in Spiritus
Wo es ganz fest unter Verschluss
Weit von der Wirklichkeit entfernt
Noch akademisch denken lernt.

In Deutschland, der Kulturnation
Schätzt man den Dichter immer schon –
Betrachtet man es mal genau –
Nicht höher ein als eine Sau
Die im Dreck nach Futter gräbt
Verachtet wird, solang sie lebt
Ist sie dann eines Tages tot
Befreit man sie von Schmutz und Kot
Deckt sich mit ihren Innerei′n
Für lange, harte Winter ein –
So könnt′ es mir wohl auch ergeh'n
Drum will ich, das wird man versteh′n

Wie selbst das allerdümmste Schwein
Zu Lebzeiten gemästet sein
Dem Schlachter, der mir ganz zuletzt
Das Messer an die Kehle setzt
Dem rat' ich und auch seiner Frau
Falls sie noch nach der Tagesschau
Schnell einen Schlachter zeugen woll′n
Dass sie an Sülze denken soll'n
Und dass sie, bei gelöschtem Licht
Ja nicht mehr tun als ihre Pflicht
Sonst kommt als Schande für das Haus
Noch ein Dichter dabei raus

Doch hätt′ ich meine Lieder gern
Statt einem Schallplattenkonzern
Unserm deutschen Volk vermacht
Doch nimmt es, hab' ich den Verdacht
Mein Geschenk erst gar nicht an –
Wobei ich mich auch irren kann
Es hält mich, bilde ich mir ein
Längst nicht mehr jeder für ein Schwein –
Es wurden auch schon Stimmen wach
Die weisen mir eindeutig nach
Dass ich ein blöder Esel sei
Und mein Gesang I-A-Geschrei

Doch auch als Esel will ich nun
Den Massen was zugute tun
Statt meiner Lieder biet' ich dann
Meinen Kieferknochen an
Denn Samson, denkt einmal daran
Schlug er nicht an die tausend Mann
Mit einem Eselskiefer tot?
Deswegen dieses Angebot:
Wenn sich das Volk einmal empört
Sich gegen alle Herrschaft wehrt
Es meinen Kiefer bei sich trägt
Und auf bourgeoise Schädel schlägt

Ich habe mich mit Vorbedacht
Im Fernseh′n immer rar gemacht
Doch weil ich auch kein Unmensch bin
Bestimme ich jetzt, immerhin
Sollte ich gestorben sein
Meinen Kadaver auszuleih′n
Für eine Fernseh-Monsterschau
Doch achte man darauf genau
Dass man die Leiche gut geschminkt
In vollem Wichs, bevor sie stinkt
Festbindet an ein Mikrofon –
So wie EI Cid, ihr wisst ja schon

Tot auf sein Pferd gebunden war
Dazu soll man noch eine Schar
Go-Go-Go-Girls engagier'n
Die meine Verse überschmier′n
Mit süßem "Dub-du-ah-uh-ah"
Damit das Volk am Bildschirm ja
Als Sahnetörtchen runterfrißt
Was Vollkornbrot gewesen ist
Solange ich der Bäcker war –
Das stell' ich hier noch einmal klar
Weil ich noch lebe, hinterher
Juckt mich das nicht mehr so sehr

Und nun zu jenem kleinen Mann,
Den ich nur schlecht beschreiben kann
Weil er hier nicht genannt sein will
Denn lieber lauert er ganz still
Im Dunkeln, bildet sich viel ein
Und hängt sich überall mit rein
Dabei wiegt dieser Himmelhund
Wenns hoch kommt, nur ein Viertelpfund
Ich ahne, so gut kenn′ ich ihn
Dass er, wenn ich gestorben bin
Von meinem Tode unberührt
Sein Eigenleben weiterführt

Wenn diese Ahnung sich erfüllt
Begrabt ihn auf der Insel Sylt
In Kampen am Nacktbadestrand
Nicht allzutief im Dünensand
Ich denke, dass ihr mich versteht
Wenn ihr die hübschen Mädchen seht
Im Sande sitzend, braun und nackt
Und eine zu der andern sagt:
"Zwar weiß ich, Hannes, dieser Schlot
Ist schon seit einer Woche tot
Doch könnt' ich wetten, er ist hier –
Ich spüre was von ihm in mir..."

Fürs erste mach′ ich jetzt mal Schluss
Obwohl ich eingestehen muss
Dass manches noch zu sagen wär –
Ein and'res Mal erzähl' ich mehr
Denn ich möchte, dass ihr wisst
Wenn dies auch mein Vermächtnis ist
Dass ich noch lang zu leben hab′
Bin ich dann tot, soll′n um mein Grab
Auch jene Journalisten steh'n
Die Schmeißfliegen so ähnlich seh′n –
Wer fräße sich denn sonst da satt
Wo unsereins geschissen hat?

Für die geb' ich noch aus dem Grab
Ganz kurz eine Erklärung ab
Statt einer Rede lass′ ich bloß
Einen letzten Rülpser los
Tief grollend aus dem Untergrund
Die Hölle öffnet ihren Schlund
Schluckt unzerkaut das Lumpenpack
Doch weil sie diesen Fraß nicht mag
Kotzt sie den widerlichen Schmaus
Gleich angeekelt wieder aus –
Ich hab' die Bande jedenfalls
Ein- für allemal vom Hals ...

Small Testament

And before the last remains
Of my mental strength leave me
Which, as one reads in the press,
Has basically atrophied long ago
I quickly, before closing time,
Drained by wealth, luxury, and pleasure,
Completely exhausted from debauchery,
Suckled at the teat of François Villon
From which the milk of truth flows –
But only if he is a poet
From whom it is milked –
He didn't hesitate with me

So, during one night,
I made this small testament:
Should I soon lose my life,
I bequeath my sick brain
To Professor Doctor Pillerman
Who will examine it, then flatten it
With a rolling pin
And boil it at a thousand degrees
And then place it in alcohol
Where, under lock and key,
Far from reality,
It will still learn to think academically.

In Germany, the nation of culture,
The poet has always been valued –
If you look at it closely –
No higher than a pig
That digs in the dirt for food
Is despised as long as it lives
If it is dead one day
It is freed from dirt and excrement
People stock up with its innards
For long, hard winters –
So it could well happen to me
Therefore, as you will understand,

Like even the stupidest pig,
I want to be fattened up while I'm alive
To the butcher who finally
Puts the knife to my throat
I advise him and his wife
If after the news
They quickly want to conceive a butcher
They should think of headcheese
And that, with the lights out,
They should not do more than their duty
Otherwise, as a disgrace to the house,
Another poet will come out

But I would have liked my songs
Instead of to a record company,
To be bequeathed to our German people
But I suspect it
Won't even accept my gift –
Although I could be wrong
I imagine,
Not everyone thinks I'm a pig anymore –
There have also been voices
That clearly point out to me
That I am a stupid donkey
And my singing is hee-haw screaming

But even as a donkey, I now want
To do something good for the masses
Instead of my songs, I offer
My jawbone
For Samson, just think about it,
Didn't he kill a thousand men
With a donkey's jawbone?
Therefore this offer:
When the people once revolt
And resist all authority,
May they carry my jawbone with them
And beat it against bourgeois skulls

I have deliberately
Made myself scarce on television
But because I am not a monster either
I now determine, at least,
Should I have died,
To lend out my carcass
For a television monster show
But make sure
That the corpse is well made up
In full makeup, before it stinks
Tied to a microphone –
Just like El Cid, you know

Was tied dead to his horse
In addition, a troop of
Go-Go-Go-Girls should be hired
To smear my verses
With sweet "Doo-be-doo-be-doo"

That I still have a long life ahead of me
When I am dead, around my grave
Should also stand those journalists
Who look so much like blowflies –
Who else would get their fill there
Where the likes of us have shit?

For them, I'll briefly
Give an explanation from the grave
Instead of a speech, I'll just
Let out one last belch
Deeply rumbling from the underground
Hell opens its maw
Swallows the rabble unchewed
But because it doesn't like this food
It vomits the disgusting meal
Right back out in disgust –
At least I have the gang
Off my neck once and for all ...
