仰げば尊し 我が師の恩
教(おしえ)の庭にも はや幾年(いくとせ)
思えばいと疾(と)し この年月(としつき)
今こそ別れめ いざさらば

互(たがい)に睦(むつみ)し 日ごろの恩
別(わか)るる後(のち)にも やよ忘るな
身を立て名をあげ やよ励めよ

朝夕馴(な)れにし 学びの窓
蛍の灯火(ともしび) 積む白雪(しらゆき)

Look Up and Revere

When raising my eyes I see the reverence,the grace of my teachers
In this garden of teachings, for many yearsalready, how fast these years have gone
Now it is time for a farewell, it is time to leave
Now it is time to part, now let us leave

We mutually respected each other,the kindness of those days
When we shall be separated, I hope we shallnot forget the days that we have shared
Live a good life, succeed and triumph in life,my dear friend, try hard
