مردانِ خدا پردهیِ پندار دریدند
یعنی همهجا غیرِ خدا، یار ندیدند
هر دست که دادند، از آن دست گرفتند
هر نکته که گفتند، همان نکته شنیدند
جمعی به درِ پیرِ خرابات خرابند
قومی به برِ شیخِ مناجات مُریدند
فریاد که در رهگذرِ آدمِ خاکی
بسی دانه فشاندند و بسی دام تنیدند
همت طلب از باطنِ پیرانِ سحرخیز
زیرا که یکی را زِ دو عالم طلبیدند

Men of God have torn the veil of illusion
Meaning they have not seen any friend but God
From whatever hand they gave, they received from that hand
Whatever point they spoke, they heard the same point
A group is ruined at the door of the old man of the tavern
Some people are disciples in the lap of the sheikh of prayers
Oh, in the path of the man of earth
They have planted many seeds and set many traps
Seek ambition from the soul of the early-rising elders
Because they have sought one from both worlds
