Einmal möchte ich gern lesen: Nichts ist gescheh'n.
Es müßte groß zu sehen
Auf der ersten Seite stehen.

In der dritten Welt.
Nirgendwo hat ein Kriegsminister neue Waffen aufgestellt.
In Irlands Straßen spielen Kinder
Und sie haben keine Angst.

Then I get the newspaper and look at the headlines.

Than I can bear.
I'd like to read for once: Nothing has happened.

On the front page.
