Era uma vez uma bolinha marrom, que tinha uma asa comprida...
Veio voando com o vento, girando, girando, fazendo pirueta no ar.
Voou, voou, voou... e quando o vento parou,
A bolinha foi descendo devagar... entrou na terra... e dormiu.
Na natureza as histórias são assim... T
Em histórias que precisam dormir antes de começar...
E veio a chuva, e veio o sol,
E como diz o locutor de futebol: - O tempo passa!...
E o tempo passou ô ô... até que um dia a bolinha acordou,
E a transformação começou:
Primeiro apareceu uma pontinha, virada pra baixo, que perguntou
O que é que eu faço? aonde eu vou?

E a bolinha respondeu:
Vai buscar água na terra... vai vai vai... eu vou...
Depois apareceu outra pontinha, virada pra cima, que perguntou
O que é que eu faço? me ensina aonde eu vou?
E a bolinha respondeu: vai buscar a luz do sol...
Mas como é que eu vou trazer?... folhas... chegando lá você vai ver...
E veio a chuva, e veio o sol,
E como diz o locutor e futebol: - O tempo passa!...
E o tempo passou ô ô... e
A bolinha marrom se transformou na árvore mais alta da floresta!
Seus galhos formaram jardins, os bichos fizeram festa!
A bolinha marrom se transformou ô ô ô ô ô no gigante da floresta!
Um dia, um índio, que passava por aqui, que falava tupi, tupi-guarani,
Olhou... olhou... olhou... olhou e disse:
Ibá, jequi, Jequitibá. O gigante da floresta.
Muito antes de Cabral chegar, e Portugal fazer a festa,
O Jequitibá já era o Jequitibá, o Gigante da Floresta.
O Brasil não chamava Brasil, não havia nenhuma cidade,
E o gigante tinha mil, mil anos de idade!

A Little Brown Ball
