Traído por um beijo foi
Por um de seus amigos
E logo estaria numa cruz
Em meio a dois bandidos
Seu sangue derramado pelo chão
Até a última gota
A serpente ataca a vítima
Matando pela boca

Todo o céu silenciou diante da cruz
O coração do pai chorou por seu Jesus
Não pela dor nem pelas chagas
Mas pela simples razão
De que os homens não entenderam
Rejeitando a salvação

Na cruz, expirou foi então que uma lança o transpassou
E ali, naquela cruz
Morria meu Jesus
E de seu lado
Sangue e água saíram

E os que ficaram sepultaram o homem Deus
E junto a ele enterraram os sonhos seus
O que Deus pede ao seu povo
É que não perca as esperanças
