This can't go on any longer!
What have I, a poor woman, done wrong
That I no longer want to live
In this country for which I fought.
I've really had enough of everything.
Fighting for a roll for breakfast
And all-consuming anger -
And yet I survived the Uprising!
Then I was in prison at the UB,
I prayed that they would all be damned
And now I don't even have
The strength to get to the parish...
Nothing comes true for us here
When it should come true!
Is it worth living just
To be sure of this
