Bei uns zu Haus, da steht eine Kirche am Meer. Ich geh gern hin, ich mag dieses Plätzchen sehr, und wenn die Sonnenstrahlen dann untergehen, leuchtet eine Madonna, besonders schön. Und ich steh da und bin meinen Tränen nah. Santa Madonna, hör mein Gebet. Gutes zu tun, ich glaub daran, ist nie zu spät. Santa Madonna, ich bin noch so klein. Doch wünsche ich mir nur, auf dieser Welt soll Frieden sein. Schon früh am Tag, dass Fernseh ist schon dabei und zeigt der Welt so vieles, so manches Leid. Oft kann ich garnicht hinschaun, oft muss ich weinen. Oft seh ich Deinem Lachen wiklich nicht einen. Ich kann nicht ruhn', ich muss was dagegen tun. Santa Madonna, hör mein Gebet. In our house, there's a church by the sea. I like to go there, I like this place very much, and when the sun's rays set, a Madonna shines, especially beautiful. And I stand there and am close to tears. Santa Madonna, hear my prayer. To do good, I believe, is never too late. Santa Madonna, I am still so young. But I only wish that there should be peace in this world. Early in the day, that television is already on and shows the world so much, so much suffering. Often I can't even look, often I have to cry. Often I really don't see your laughter. I can't rest, I have to do something about it. Santa Madonna, hear my prayer. To do good, I believe, is never too late. Santa Madonna, I am still so young.
