まいにち まいにち ぼくらは てっぱんの
うえで やかれて いやになっちゃうよ
あるあさ ぼくは みせのおじさんと
けんかして うみに にげこんだのさ

おなかの アンコが おもいけど
うみは ひろいぜ こころがはずむ
ももいろサンゴが てをふって
ぼくの およぎを ながめていたよ

まいにち まいにち たのしいことばかり
なんぱせんが ぼくの すみかさ
ときどき サメに いじめられるけど
そんなときゃ そうさ にげるのさ

いちにち およげば ハラペコさ
めだまも クルクル まわっちゃう
たまには エビでも くわなけりゃ
しおみず ばかりじゃ ふやけてしまう
いわばの かげから くいつけば
それは ちいさな つりばりだった

どんなに どんなに もがいても
ハリが のどから とれないよ
はまべで みしらぬ おじさんが
ぼくを つりあげ びっくりしてた

やっぱり ぼくは タイヤキさ
すこし こげある タイヤキさ
おじさん つばを のみこんで
ぼくを うまそに たべたのさ

Swim! Taiyaki-kun

My, my, every day we are on the griddle,
Getting cooked, sick and tired of it.
One morning, I had a fight with the shop owner,
And escaped into the sea.

My first time swimming on the ocean floor,
It feels incredibly good.
My belly, filled with red bean paste, feels heavy,
But the ocean is so vast, my heart is soaring.
Peach-colored corals wave their arms,
Watching my swim.

Every day, every day, nothing but fun,
The passenger ship is my new home.
Sometimes, I get bullied by sharks,
But when that happens, I just run away.

After one day of swimming, I get hungry,
My eyes start to spin.
Sometimes, I have to catch some shrimp,
Salty water alone will make me soggy.
From behind a rock, as I bite,
It is a tiny fishing hook.

No matter how much, how much I struggle,
The hook won't come out of my throat.
On the beach, a stranger
Fished me up, shocked.

After all, I am a taiyaki,
A taiyaki with a little burn.
The man swallowed his saliva
And ate me deliciously.
