You too, you say you love the unreal,

You feel something from a faceless, nameless connection.
I'm sure it's not mutual affection.
Even so, your day will end like always,
pretending to be alive, then closing your eyes.
You turn away with a "how boring,"
but you still can't shut it down.
Say what you will, you're drawn to my screen
with that same old loathsome look.
You know it's not the best solution.
Your soul is drowning in a gloomy, wilted life.
If you can't tell what reality is,
come, let's live in a world of our own making.
There's no point in a place that rejects you, right?
Just say "no" to everything and look only at me.
You clap your hands and say, "Oh, that's great,"
but it's all a lie, and the outside's a trash heap.
You're drowning in pain,
so why do you still look at me
with that cold expression?
You know it's not the best solution.
That path leads only to an endless loneliness.
In the room where you repeat
each day without sunlight,
the noise I'm making has begun to crack.
"I don't understand any of this," you cried.
And I, a mere talking doll, replied, "I'm tired of you."
