8月15日の午後12時半くらいの事
天気がいい
病気になりそうなほど眩しい日差しの中
することもないから君と駄弁っていた
でもまあ、夏は嫌いかな
猫を撫でながら君はふてぶてしく呟いた
ああ、逃げ出した猫の
後を追いかけて飛び込んでしまったのは
赤に変わった信号機
ばっと通ったトラックが君を引き摺って泣き叫ぶ
血飛沫の色、君の香りと混ざりあって噎せ返った
嘘みたいな陽炎が｢嘘じゃないぞ｣って笑ってる
夏の水色かき回すような蝉の音に全て眩んだ
目を覚ました時計の針が鳴り響くベットで
今は何時？
8月14日の午前12時過ぎくらいを指す
やけにうるさい蝉の声覚えていた
でもさあ、少し不思議だな
同じ公園で昨日見た夢を思い出した
｢もう今日は帰ろうか｣
道に抜けた時周りの人はみんな
上を見上げ口を開けていた
落下してきた鉄柱が君を貫いて突き刺さる
劈く悲鳴と封印の音が木々の隙間で空回り
わざとらしい陽炎が｢夢じゃないぞ｣って笑ってる
眩む視界に君の横顔笑ってるような気がした
何度世界が眩んでも
陽炎が笑って奪いさる
繰り返した何十年
もうとっくに気が付いていたろ
こんなよくある話なら
結末はきっと一つだけ
繰り返した夏の日の向こう
ばっと押し退け飛び込んだ
瞬間トラックにぶち当たる
血飛沫の色、君の瞳と軋む体に乱反射して
文句ありげな陽炎に｢ざまあみろよ｣って笑ったら
実によくある夏の日の事
そんな何かがここで終わった
目を覚ました8月14日の ベットの上
少女はただ、
"まただめだったよ" と
一人猫をだき抱えてた

The weather is good
In the dazzling sunlight that could make you sick
We chatted with each other since there was nothing to do
