For many centuries nobody believed
there was a mountain in the African cloud.
With a snow-capped dome that rumbled and moaned;
Kilimanjaro was hidden in a shroud.

Blood sweat and tears and a little bit of fear,
To climb her you gotta be bold.

I've battled through the ice and the scree,
The sun begins to rise and I'm finally alive,
Kilimanjaro, you set my spirit free.

Viele Jahrhunderte lang glaubte niemand,
