Я так перепугался, что взобрался на высокий дуб.
Медведь уселся на землю,
А я забрался на ветку.
Устремил я взор к Господу на небесах
И произнес такие слова: "О, Господи, Ты спас Даниила,
Вытащил его из львиного рва,
И Иону спас из чрева кита,
И отроков из печи огненной,
Как сказано в Священном Писании.
Господи, если Ты не поможешь мне,
Ради всего святого, не помогай этому медведю! Ну, мистер Медведь...
Не вздумай гнаться за мной по этой грунтовке!
Разве ты не можешь набрать еды и делать свои дела?
Когда будешь завтра здесь проходить,
Если я дам тебе один маленький кусочек,
