I won't have to milk the own cow one day
With my stool and my bucket and my poor poulet
I plunge down the bucket and I pluck the my stool
I said "Be still! Ballsy, you stubborn, open"
"Be still, now Ballsy quit jumping around
I've been out all night just to sneaking around"
She looked sympathetic with her eyes, big and brown
And I said "Just hang on and I'll jump up and down"

Dies ist eines meiner liebsten
Es geht so

Eines Tages muss ich die eigene Kuh nicht melken
Mit meinem Schemel und meinem Eimer und meinem armen Poulet
Ich werfe den Eimer hin und packe meinen Schemel
Ich sagte: „Sei still! Ballsy, du Sturkopf, öffne!“
„Sei still, jetzt Ballsy, hör auf herumzuspringen!
Ich war die ganze Nacht draußen, nur um herumzuschleichen“
Sie schaute mitfühlend mit ihren Augen, groß und braun
Und ich sagte: „Warte kurz, und ich werde auf und ab springen“
