Se escribieron solos
Sin que yo participara mucho en su elaboración
Insistieron en que yo los escribiera
Finalmente no me opuse

Solo una cosa no hay, es el olvido
Dios que salva el metal, salva la escoria
Y cifra en su profética memoria
Las lunas que serán y las que han sido

Ya todo está, los miles de reflejos
Que entre los dos crepúsculos del día
Tu rostro fue dejando en los espejos
Y los que irá dejando todavía

Y todo es una parte del diverso
Cristal de esa memoria, el universo
No tienen fin sus arduos corredores

Y las puertas se cierran a tu paso
Solo del otro lado del ocaso
Verás los arquetipos y esplendores

Everness, in English, means eternity

They are two poems
Unabashedly sentimental, I may say
They wrote themselves
Without much participation on my part
They insisted on being written
And I finally gave in

Everness

There is but one thing not here, and that is oblivion
God, who saves metal, saves even the scrap
And notes down in his prophetic memory
The moons that will be and the moons that have been

Everything is here already, thousands of reflections
That your face left in the mirrors
Between the two twilights of the day
And the ones it will still leave behind

And everything is part of the rotating
Crystal of that memory, the universe
With its towering corridors that never end

And the doors that close behind you
It is only on the other side of the sunset
That you will see the archetypes and their splendor
