Her er eit helga altar
For alle som ynskjer be.

Dei må ikke tru på deg fåfengt.

Here is a sacred altar
For all who wish to pray.
Many have sought it out
And in reverence bent their knee.
We too come forth with hearts full
And turn towards the same place.
We only wish to pray for all who pray:
O God, be there for them!
May they not believe in you in vain.
Keep their hopes alive.
May they find their loved ones who have passed away
In the deep night of death.
May it exist, the peace
They hope to reach in the end,
May all who have prayed for it so earnestly and faithfully
Be embraced by it.
Yes there must be an open door
For all who wish to return home!
The heart is full of prayer tonight
For the faith of all people!
