Perişan halıma hiç kimselerden olmadı imdad
Benim arzetmediğim şah veziri padişah kaldı
Bu Rıf'at varını yaran uğruna eyledi yağma
Elinde sade bir keşkül başında bir külah kaldı (Aman aman)

My dear, I revealed my inner torment to the wise Lokman, and he exclaimed, "Alas!"
My beloved, I shared my heart's affliction with the renowned Lokman, and he cried, "Alas!"
The remedy for this pain lies solely with the True God. (Oh my love)
Why, my love, have I been left alone in these dark times?
The sun of my fortune has set, and my blooming roses have faded to black. (Oh my love)
In my despair, no one has offered solace.
None but the King, the Vizier, and the Emperor know my unspoken pain.
