Even in this remote corner of the city,
Small thoughts dwell within,
Surpassing numerous amounts, a tiny universe perhaps.

Could this be what eternity means?
While grand architecture is impressive,
We also hear tell of a microcosm,
Don't we?

Let's go for a bike ride, come on.

A letter from summer, as if it had arrived,
Surely you will return.
Gradually, my courage grows,
For this is the world of living beings.

The sounds of a summer festival ring out,
The ringing of bells and drums,
Children and adults laughing, unchanged,
Sometimes switching roles unexpectedly.

They continue even beyond time,
Seabirds draw near,
Whitecaps seen over the embankment,
Approaching and receding in turn.

Acts of nature,
Understanding them,
And accepting them,
Is what the locals say.
They say that being overprotective,
Or being too fearful,
Is wrong.

A letter from summer, as if it had arrived,
