Und abends saßen buntgefiederte Vasallen
In Reih' und Glied vor'm großen Karneval –

Der Vorhang fiel, die Grenzen blieben weiter
Ich kannte mich in Ost und Westen ganz gut aus –
Die Einen wollten rein und hoch und immer weiter

Bis eines Abends mich ein Polizist ansprach
Den kannte ich vom alten Stasistall –

Sixty-eight it was, the club was anarchistic,
The stage was right next to the toilet –
They showed porn and acted all feministic,

Got new teeth and soon my hair will be gone,
