این منم انسان خاکی ، بی فروغ و غمگنانه
بشنو اوای دلم را ، ای تو نور جاودانه
ای پناه آخرینم ، درهجوم بی پناهی
من به دوش خسته دارم ، بار سنگین گناهی

از درون چاه وحشت ، می کشم فریاد حسرت
مانده ام سردرگریبان ، من به منزلگاه حیرت
پشت این دیوار ظلمت ، از سیاهی در هراسم
ای فروغ جاودانه من سراپا التماسم

شوق وصف تو دمیده ، در سراپای وجودم

I am a weary human, hapless and sad
Listen to my heart's plea, O eternally bright
O my last refuge, in the throes of desolation
I bear the heavy burden of sins on my tired shoulders

From the depths of the abyss of terror, I cry out in want
I am lost in doubt, at the abode of bewilderment
In the darkness behind this wall, I fear the gloom
O eternal light, I beseech thee with all my being

I am a weary human, hapless and sad

The desire to praise you fills my entire existence
I'd rather burn before your feet, my body and soul

If I am bound to earth, I seek liberation from you
