Shree Guru charana saroja raja
Nija manu mukuru sudhari
Baranaun Raghubara bimala jasu jo daayaku phala chaari
Buddhi heena tanu jaanike sumiraun pawana kumaara
Bala budhi vidyaa dehu mohin harahu kalesa bikaara
Jaya Hanumaan gyaana guna saagara,
Jaya Kapeesha tihun loka ujaagara
Raama doota atulita bala dhaamaa,
Anjani putra Pawanasuta naamaa
Mahaabeera bikrama bajarangee,
Kumati niwaara sumati ke sangee
Kanchana barana biraaja subesaa,
Kaanana kundala kunchita kesaa
Haata bajra aura dwajaa biraajai,
Kaandhe moonja janeu saajai
Shankara suwana Kesaree nandana,
Teja prataapa mahaa jaga bandana
Bidyaawaana gunee ati chaatura,

Sugama anugraha tumhare tete
Raama duaare tuma rakhawaare,
Hota na aagyaa binu paisaare
Saba sukha lahai tumhaaree sharanaa,
Tuma rakshaka kaahu ko dara naa
Aapana teja samhaaro aapai,
Teenon loka haanka ten kaanpai
Bhoota pisaacha nikata nahin aawai,
Mahaabeera jaba naama sunaawai
Naasai roga hare saba peeraa,
Japata nirantara Hanumata beeraa
Sankata ten Hanumaana churaawai,
Mana krama bachana dhyaana jo laawai
Saba para Raama tapaswee raajaa,
Tina ke kaaja sakala tuma saajaa
Aura manorata jo koee laawai,
Soee amita jeewana phala paawai
Chaaron juga parataapa tumhaaraa,
Hai parasidha jagata ujiyaaraa
Saadhu santa ke tuma rakhawaare,
Asura nikandana Raama dulaare
Ashta siddhi nau nidhi ke daataa,
Asa bara deena Jaanakee Maataa
Raama rasaayana tumhare paasaa,
Sadaa raho Raghupati ke daasaa
Tumhare bhajana Raama ko paawai,
Janama janama ke dukha bisaraawai
Anta kaala Raghubara pura jaaee,
Jahaan janama Hari bhakta kahaaee
Aura devataa chitta na dharaee,
Hanumata se-ee sarva sukha karaee
Sankata katai mite saba peeraa,
Jo sumire Hanumata bala beeraa
Jai jai jai Hanumaana Gosaaee,
Kripaa karahu gurudeva kee naaee
Jo sata baara paata kara koee,
Chootahi bandi mahaa sukha hoee
Jo yaha parai Hanumaana chaaleesaa,
Hoya siddhi saakhee Gaureesaa
Tulasee Daasa sadaa Hari cheraa,
Keejai naata hridaya mahaan deraa
Pawanatanaya sankata harana mangala moorati roopa
Raama Lakhana Seetaa sahita hridaya basahu sura bhoopa

Sri Hanuman Chaleesa / Gate of Sweet Nectar

I bow to the lotus feet of Sri Guru,
And purify my mind and speech.
I sing the praises of Lord Raghubara, whose fame is pure and who grants the four fruits of life.
Knowing myself to be of little intelligence, I meditate on Pavan Kumar (Hanuman).
Grant me strength, wisdom and knowledge, and remove my sorrows and afflictions.
Victory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue,
Victory to the Lord of Monkeys, who illuminates the three worlds.
Messenger of Rama, abode of immeasurable strength,
Son of Anjani, known as Pavan Sut (son of the wind god).
Great hero, with the strength of a thunderbolt, enemy of the wicked,
Remover of bad intellect, companion of the good.
With a golden complexion, you shine in your beautiful attire,
Wearing earrings and with curly hair.
In your hands, you hold a thunderbolt and a flag,
And a sacred thread adorns your shoulder.
You are the son of Kesari, the golden-hued one,
Your brilliance and power are revered throughout the world.
You are wise, intelligent and highly skilled,
Always eager to serve Lord Rama.
You are passionate about listening to the stories of the Lord,
Rama, Lakshmana and Sita reside in your heart.
Assuming a tiny form, you appeared before Sita,
And assuming a gigantic form, you burned Lanka.
Taking a fierce form, you destroyed the demon hordes,
And fulfilled the tasks of Ramachandra.
You brought the life-giving herb and revived Lakshmana,
Sri Raghubira (Rama) embraced you with joy.
Raghupati (Rama) showered you with great praise,
Saying, "You are as dear to me as my brother Bharata."
Millions of mouths sing your glories,
Saying this, Sri Rama embraced you tightly.
Sanaka and other sages, Brahma and other gods,
Narada, Saraswati and the serpent-gods,
Yama, Kubera and the guardians of the directions,
No poet or scholar can fully describe your greatness.
You rendered a great service to Sugriva,
United him with Rama and gave him the kingdom.
Vibhishana accepted your advice,
And became the Lord of Lanka, known throughout the world.
The sun, thousands of leagues away,
You playfully swallowed its sweet fruit.
With the Lord's ring in your mouth,
You leaped across the ocean, it's no surprise.
You accomplish difficult tasks in the world,
Your grace makes everything easy.
You stand guard at Rama's door,
No one can enter without your permission.
All happiness is found in your refuge,
You are the protector, no one needs to fear.
You control your own immense power,
The three worlds tremble at your roar.
Ghosts and goblins dare not come near,
When the name of Mahavir (Hanuman) is heard.
Diseases are eradicated, all pains are removed,
By constantly chanting the name of Hanuman, the brave.
Hanuman removes all troubles,
For those who remember him in thought, word and deed.
Rama, the ascetic king, is the Lord of all,
You fulfill all his desires.
Whoever brings any desire to you,
Receives the fruit of eternal life.
Your glory extends through the four ages,
It is renowned throughout the world.
You are the protector of saints and sages,
Destroyer of demons, beloved of Rama.
You are the giver of eight siddhis (supernatural powers) and nine nidhis (treasures),
Mother Janaki (Sita) bestowed this boon upon you.
You possess the elixir of Rama's devotion,
And remain forever the servant of Raghupati (Rama).
Through your devotion, one attains Rama,
And forgets the sorrows of countless lifetimes.
At the end of life, one reaches Raghubara's abode,
And is reborn as a devotee of Hari (Vishnu).
One need not focus on other deities,
Devotion to Hanuman brings all happiness.
Troubles are removed, all pains vanish,
For those who remember Hanuman, the powerful hero.
Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman,
Please bestow your grace upon me, as you did for your Guru (Sun God).
Whoever recites this Chalisa a hundred times,
Is released from bondage and attains great happiness.
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa,
Attains perfection, as witnessed by Lord Shiva.
Tulsidas is forever a servant of Hari (Vishnu),
Please make your abode in my heart.
Son of the Wind God, remover of difficulties, embodiment of auspiciousness,
Along with Rama, Lakshmana and Sita, reside in my heart, O Lord of the Gods.
