Moon of jasmine fragrant nights, come forth
My king, adorn my palanquin with jasmine garlands
Enthralled by your songs, O poet
My life has been given new meaning
Your words are like a tune, making my heart dance
In such a gust of wind, I sway, O poet, my mind a whirlwind in the storm
Like mercury in a transparent glass, our music is harmonious
In the verdant Ashadha, a gong is sounded, how has fire been set ablaze in water?
Come, make me a garland, O my poet
Of newly bloomed, blossoming life, give my home a golden threshold
