Que se manifiesta ya desde el primer compás
Un indudable valor musicológico

En el trabajo de investigación previa
Los compositores consultaron viejas partituras de la Belle Epoque
Y descubrieron, con sorpresa
Que la tonalidad era la misma en todas
Blanco amarillento

En "El Vals del Segundo" está presente el espíritu
De Johann Strauss, Lehár y Waldteufel
Offenbach, Beckenbauer y von Suppé
Kohlmann, Oskar Strauss, Joseph Strauss, Karl Maria y von Weber

Para su ejecución, se emplea habitualmente una orquesta limitada
Pudiendo modificarse sensiblemente con una orquesta buena

"El Vals del Segundo" comienza con un portato assai
El segundo tiempo es un deciso e a terra col battere
En el cual se plantea el desarrollo ulterior de la obra
Plácidamente, en forma muy tensa, con total serenidad
Agitadamente, en una paz plena, turbulenta
Creando un clima calmo, caótico
Definiendo, indubitablemente, la intención de los autores
De alguna manera

Sigue el intermezzo, compuesto sobre un esquema
En el cual las figuras predominantes son negras
Como en el Jazz
El intermezzo desemboca en el tiempo siguiente
Que, por otra parte, era la única posibilidad
Se trata del levare languente
Que establece una atmósfera de bacanal
Las cuerdas cantan, ebrias de gozo
Mientras los oboes se superponen a las flautas

El desenlace es abrupto
