En un pueblo de Sevilla,
hubo una linda famosa
mas blanca que un palomar,
y en la ventana una chiquilla
con la cara de una rosa,
Paloma la de Alcala.

Venian los señorones
con las onzas por razones,

les daba copas de vino, y asi la iba burlando.

Mas cuando llegaban las claras del dia

no me hable usted de querer
por que tengo un caché que lo estoy camelando
y me paso las noches llorando, llorando por el,
despues que le di mi aroma se aleja de mi rosal,
pues hasta el pan que se coma se le vuelva pedernal.

Juro y no es cosa de broma,
que lo tengo que matar
como me llamo Paloma
ay Paloma la de Alcalá.

Una noche silenciosas
de esas de mantos floridos y casi de madrugá,
llego a la ventana ojerosa
con el rosto enmohecido Paloma la de Alcalá.

Salieron los señorones
preguntando las razones,
mas ella dijo riendo,
vamos a beber solera,
