Me siento como quien guarda una botella
Para una fecha señalada
Y se da cuenta de que nunca vino
Que el vino se ha hecho vinagre
Como quien sigue intentando hacer las cosas bien
Solo por ver sonreír a su madre

Como quien ha perdido la ilusión
Porque le dijeron que toda magia implica truco
Como el imbécil que prefirió ser la fuerza del león
Antes que la astucia del zorro
Y al final
Una bella sonrisa con andares de bailarina
Le acabó soplando en la boca para pedir un deseo

Me siento como el poeta atrapado en su fraseo
Como la mujer arreglándose en el aseo
Antes de acudir a una cena consigo misma

Como otro puto obstáculo

Esperando a sus padres a la salida del colegio

Some gesture
That I used to make when I was a child
And I search and search and search
But I never find
The child that I was a while ago

I feel like someone who keeps a bottle
For a special date
And realizes that it never came
That the wine has turned into vinegar
Like someone who keeps trying to do things right
Just to see their mother smile

Like someone who has lost the illusion
Because they were told that all magic implies a trick
Like the fool who preferred to be the strength of the lion
Rather than the cunning of the fox
And in the end
A beautiful smile with the gait of a dancer
Ended up breathing in my mouth to make a wish

I feel like the poet trapped in his phrasing
Like the woman getting ready in the bathroom
Before going to dinner with herself
I feel like in a cage with no bars
Like someone watching airplanes
Like another fucking obstacle
Because of which the sun does not rise
Like someone who is given flowers
And asks, When did he die?

Like the one-eyed man
Who was never asked if he feels like a king
In a world of blind people
Like the lover who no longer believes in love

I feel as if I could feel
That I will no longer be able to feel
After having felt so much
Of having loved so much
Of having cried, of having laughed
Of having feared and having enjoyed so much

I feel like the girl who was left
Waiting for her parents at the school gate
And nobody ever came to look for her
Like the prisoner who was offered freedom
But for a kiss, he chose jail

Like the verse that was never a poem
Because no one had the courage
To write it
