De picada bajaron los buitres
Cuando muerto callo en el desierto

El caballo se quedo con su amo
Y salvaje lo salvaguardaba
Iba herido tambien el del pecho
Pero a nadie dejo se acercara
Con el cuerpo le daba su sombra

Le acercaba el osico a la boca
Para ver si lo volvia a la vida
A ruperto lo odiaban los hombres
Porque todas las hembras lo amaban
Y por eso en Caborca le hicieron
Entre muchos la peor emboscada
Su caballo lo saco del paso
Como flecha volo por el aire
Fue a caer al desierto inclemente
