En la parada siguiente me miró y me sonrió,
Y ahí yo me quedé con la boca abierta y las mariposas de mi panza
Salieron todas en nube. "¡Socorro!", gritaron algunos pasajeros.
"¡Atrápenlas!", dijeron otros,
Y en el colectivo de la línea 42 se armó un colorido revuelo.
Mientras la gente corría de acá para allá tratando de atrapar o huir
De las mariposas,
Nosotros nos sentamos en dos
Asientos juntos que se habían desocupado.
Él me miró de nuevo (por suerte me veía de
Perfil), y abrió la boca para decirme algo.
Yo fui toda oídos, por supuesto...
Sin embargo nunca supe lo que me dijo, porque estaba muerta de amor.

When I saw him get on the bus, my eyes followed him.
