Und während ich in meinem Kopf kram und mich ärger,
Dass ich mir so was wie Namen einfach nie merk,
Steht sie auf, dreht sich zu mir und tritt näher,

Wir kommen ins Gespräch und ich schlag mich tapfer,
Nur ihr Name fällt mir einfach patu nicht ein.
Und ich hoff nur, dass ich mich nicht verplapper,
Noch zwei Haltestellen, bis sie aussteigt.
Ich habe es fast geschafft, doch plötzlich sagt sie munter:

It's freezing outside, it's five and almost dark,
I'm sitting on the train, looking out the window.
Heading to a housewarming party for a good buddy,
I'm early, so I'll help with the shopping.
But then the train stops and someone sits down,
In the four-seater facing away from me.
