Señor tu palabra dice que si alguno está en ti nueva criatura será

Seguramente no he estado en ti
Seguramente no he nacido de nuevo y no he vivido en pos tuyo

Bien le dijiste a Nicodemo que
Si alguien quería ver tu reino tendría que nacer de nuevo

Hoy después de tanto tiempo me determinó a nacer en ti, a nacer de nuevo

Ví tu luz atravesar mi camino tomando
En tus manos mi oscuro pasado vistiéndome de lino fino

Permitiendo ver que en mi parecer la existencia se marchitaba
Pues quería correr saciar mi placer más si no estabas no tenía nada

Me volví permisivo mi altar no cuide a otras cosas le di prioridad
Fui pasivo aún sabiendo que 7 espíritus peores vendrían a atacar

Fingiendo ser tu hijo levantaba manos no habiendo en mi santidad
Mi interior vagabundo pues el sucio mundo regresaba cada vez más

Permanecía distante la culpa venía a acusarme
Que para que orar y pedir perdón si sea como sea volvería a fallarte

Igual a Jeremías cuando quise olvidarte
En mis huesos había un fuego que ardía que me obliga a mirarte

En tu reino vivir debe ser convicción no la emoción de sentir o no sentir

Menguar para que crezcas tu tomando la cruz negándome a si mismo
Morir a la carne ser un buen soldado no un espejismo

Una nueva criatura
En tu sangre señor atrás el viejo hombre otro nacerá hoy

To Be Born Again

Lord your word says if anyone is in you the new creature will be
The old things will pass away and
Now all will be made new
But sometimes I feel the same or worse than before
I surely haven't been in you
I surely haven't been born again and I haven't lived for you

Well you said to Nicodemus that
If someone wanted to see your kingdom they would have to be born again

Today after so long I am determined to be born in you, to be born again

I saw your light cross my path taking
In your hands my dark past dressing me in fine linen

Allowing me to see that in my opinion the existence withered away
Because I wanted to run to quench my pleasure but if you were not I had nothing

You picked me up and your spirit and your power you gave me and you favored this sad soul with miracles
And you did wonders

I was able to know you. To download myself in you to clean myself in your waters to convert my being

And I worshipped before your name prostrate putting my face on the ground
Asking for your strength and the faith necessary to be faithful to you in the war
Wishing that night after night your anointing would walk through my room
Although I was very ignorant I longed so much for an intimate fellowship

And so it happened the holy spirit invaded me
With fire from above you baptized me and for the work you sealed my being

I found your presence. I received your gift you were Christ in me I was no longer me

But everything changed (Everything changed)
With time the temple was not enough and the first love died out

I became permissive my altar I did not care I gave priority to other things
I was passive even knowing that 7 worse spirits would come to attack

Pretending to be your son I raised my hands having no holiness in me
My inner vagabond because the dirty world came back more and more

I remained distant the guilt came to accuse me
That to pray and ask for forgiveness why if I would fail you again

Like Jeremiah when I wanted to forget you
In my bones there was a fire that burned that forces me to look at you

And today I want to be born again for
In your kingdom to live must be conviction not the emotion of feeling or not feeling

To diminish so that you may grow taking the cross denying oneself
To die to the flesh to be a good soldier not a mirage

A new creature
In your blood Lord the old man is gone another will be born today
