The Tropical Jungle

My dearest friends wherever you may be,
I hope this letter finds you well, my one and only,
I'm in the jungle, fighting to survive,
With monkeys swinging and snakes galore, it's quite a jive.

Neighborhood gorillas, living room macaques,
Well-to-do hippopotamuses, what a take,
Hysterical giraffes and striped tigers galore,
Tyrant lions roaming the swampy streets, what a bore.

In the tropical jungle,
If it weren't for the music,
Not even Tarzan could save us,

The law of the jungle reigns supreme here,
There's violence aplenty, they devour each other, my dear,
Birds and I live off the songs we sing,
But it's tough to avoid becoming the lion's next meal, you know the thing.

But the most ferocious beast of all,
Walks on two legs and thinks like me, I can recall,
Their firearms strike terror in every heart,
The hunter arrives, playing safari, it's quite a start.

In the tropical jungle,

With some natives who play the drums,
We've gathered to experience the rock, it comes,
No one misses a single show,
And the elephants guard the place, you know.

Monkeys swing and dance on the vines,
