an album consisting of varying moods and textures throughout,
each musician's talent seeping into the next to create a boundless space.
The participants of this group would continue on to become jazz icons,
and Kind Of Blue was a culmination of the peak Miles Davis Quintet,
each playing at the height of their craft.
Tenor saxophonist John Coltrane shared a telepathic musicality with Miles,
his improvisations as fluid and supple as his lyrical solos—
a highlight of the record captured in the iconic "So What."
Alto saxophonist "Cannonball" Adderley,
bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb play with a beautiful restraint,
each solo on the record adding a new dimension to the music, guided by Miles' vision.
