أمر من الصبر سؤلانك لغير مولاك
يصفر لونك وقليل ان سمح وعطاك
الندل صاحب قليل البخت واتواعدوا
يمشوا رفاقة بطول العمر ما يباعدوا
وفى الاصيل زي الغمامة بوعده
والندل غير طريقة والزمن اهو ساعده
وبعده لسة الخيانة سايرة في الافلاك

Song of Patience

It is better to be patient and not ask anyone but your Lord
Your face will turn yellow, and if He gives you something, it will be little
The scoundrel is a man of bad luck and they make a pact
They walk together for the rest of their lives, they never part
And in the evening, like a cloud, he keeps his promise
And the scoundrel changes his ways, and time helps him
And after that, treachery still goes on in the heavens
