آن قصر که جمشید در او جام گرفت
آهو بچه کرد و شیر آرام گرفت
بهرام که گور می گرفتی همه عمر
دیدی که چگونه گور بهرام گرفت
ای دیده اگر کور نئی گور ببین
وین عالم پر فتنه و پر شور ببین
شاهان و سران و سروران زیر گلند
روهای چو مه در دهن مور ببین

Bahram's Grave

That palace where Jamshid once held his cup,
A fawn gave birth, and the lion rested in peace.
Bahram, who hunted wild asses all his life,
See how the grave has now hunted him down.
Oh, eyes, if you are not blind, behold the grave,
And see this world, full of strife and passion.
Kings and chiefs and lords lie beneath the soil,
Their faces, like moons, now in the mouth of the ant.
