די זון די שטערן זאגן עדות,
די וועלדער און די פעלדער גלייך,
די ערד וואס האט געזען די זיידעס,

אב הרחמן שמע קולנו,

The sun, the stars bear witness,
The forests and the fields alike,
The earth that beheld our ancestors,

O Merciful Father, hear our voice,
See what is befalling the world,
Your will is indeed our will,
As clear as the sun at noon

Longing draws us to You,
A higher calling beckons us,
Yet there are those who seek to seize it,
To keep us from drawing near to You,

Yearning cries out to You,
From every corner of the world,
Our hearts yearn, filled with longing,
When have You ever been so moved,

The allure of worldly pleasures,
The door to the street is wide open,
Accusers on all sides,
But look how Your people shine today,

So much Torah, so many lessons,
Loving-kindness and charity without bounds,
Every commandment adorned,
The world is filled with faith today,

As water reflects the face,
Can You not feel the immense distress,
I beg You, Father, have mercy on Your children,
I do not know how You endure it,

Yearning cries out to You,
Pleading from every corner of the world,
Our hearts yearn, filled with longing,
When have You ever been so moved,
