אין אדר תש"ס, 20 חברים פון ארום די גאנצע וועלט זענען
געפארן אויף א נסיעה צום הייליגען בעל שם טוב הקדוש זי"ע,
אויף שבת פרשת זכור, און דאס דערציילן זיי:

די שקצים אין אוקריינא זיי קענען נישט פארשטיין
פארוואס קומט אזא גרויסע עולם צו גיין
פון יענער עק וועלט, פון ישראל און אויך פון אמעריקע

קיין שטעטעלע מעזיבוש מיר גייען מיט פרייד
גרויסע צדיקים זיך אלץ דא געדרייט
א גאנץ שבת קודש דא וועלן מיר זיין
אין מעז'בוזש

צו זיין ביי דעם הייליגען בעל שם טוב'ס א אטיש,
נאך 200 יאר מיר פארגעסן גארנישט,
די קדושה אויף יעדן צוריק אויף געפרישט,
אין מעז'בוז

א שבת און מעז'בוז ביים הייליגען בעל שם
די טרערן פון הארצן באשעפער שוין נעם
מיט קדושה טהרה מעין עולם הבא
אין מעז'בוז

ס'פרייטאג צונאכט'ס און מ'בעט נאכאנאנד
קיין לעקטער נישט דא דעם פארצייטענס דערמאנט
אבער די לעכטלעך ביי ציון עס שטראלט נאך און שיינט
ביים בעל שם טוב

מ'גרייט זיך צום קידוש'ל פרייטיג צונאכט'ס
די השגחה עליונה האט ווין אויך געבראכט

שוין לאנג נישט געווען אזא פייער פון קדושה

אונזערע תפילה געזאנגען אין הימל ארויף
אלע גרויסע צדיקים זיי קומען זיך צינויף
און זיי טאנצן דא נאכאמאל אין צדיק'ס הויף דא
אין מעז'בוז

ס'איז שוין מוצאי שבת מען בעט מיט געוויין
אוי גאט פון אברהם באגלייט אונז אהיים
צוריק אין דעם בלאטע אין גלות מיר גייען
פון מעז'בוז

מיר בעטן ישועות פאר אונז אלע אויף אמאל
און טראגן השפעות פאר פריינד איבעראל
אהיים קיין אמעריקע און אויך קיין ישראל

Shabbos in Meziboz

In Adar 5760, 20 friends from around the world
embarked on a journey to the holy Baal Shem Tov, may his memory be a blessing,
on Shabbat of Parshat Zachor, and this is their story:

The wicked ones in Ukraine cannot understand
why such a large crowd comes to travel
from that corner of the world, from Israel and also from America

To the town of Mezhibuzh, we go with joy
Great righteous individuals have always gathered here
The entire Shabbat we will be here
In Mezhibuzh

To be at the holy Baal Shem Tov's table,
After 200 years, we have forgotten nothing,
The holiness on each one is refreshed,
In Mezhibuzh

A Shabbat in Mezhibuzh with the holy Baal Shem
The tears from our hearts, the Creator already accepts
With holiness and purity, like a glimpse of the World to Come
In Mezhibuzh

Friday night, we pray one after another
There is no electricity here, a reminder of the past
But the lights at the gravesite still shine brightly
At the Baal Shem Tov's

We prepare for Kiddush on Friday night
Divine providence has brought wine as well
We raise our feet and dance
In Mezhibuzh

With great enthusiasm, we dance around
May this hour be a time of mercy
A sigh from the heart arises
In Mezhibuzh

The tears from our hearts, the Creator already accepts

A taste of Gan Eden felt throughout Shabbat
The beautiful Zemirot were also sung
We strolled through the holy village
In Mezhibuzh

An important Jew helps us understand
That the Tzaddik in heaven decrees alone
Who should come to his gravesite
To Mezhibuzh

Oh Rebbe, look upon your Jewish children
Our troubles are surely enough
Broken Jews pray for happiness here

During the third meal, what is happening here
It has been a long time since such a fire of holiness

Our prayers ascend to heaven
All the great righteous individuals gather
And they dance once more in the Tzaddik's courtyard here

It is already Motzei Shabbat, we pray with tears
Oh God of Abraham, accompany us home
Back to the mud, into exile we go
From Mezhibuzh

We ask for salvation for all of us at once
And carry influences for friends everywhere
Home to America and also to Israel

"Oh Rebbe! America is certainly not Mezhibuzh!..."
