May parastan khum-e-may munh se lagaye hi bane
Ek din gar na hua bazm mein saqi na sahi
Nafaz-e-qais k hai chashm-o-charag-e-sahra
Gar nahi shama-e-siyahakhana-e-laila na sahi
Ek hangame pe maukuf hai ghar ki raunaknoh-e-gam hi sahi, nagma-e-shadi na sahi
Na sataish ki tamanna na sile ki parwahgar nahi hai mere ashar mein mane na sahi
