Anna guardava i suoi fiori come si guardano i figli
Esposti al sole in via Solgenitsin numero 15
Il suo balcone fra i tigli era un giardino pensile
Fitto di gigli ed ortensie, pollini e resine dense
Viveva sola da tempo in un appartamento del centro
Di fronte al carcere sorto all'interno al vecchio convento
Da quando il marito s'era spento in inverno
Aveva perso la voglia di guardarsi dentro per sentirsi meglio
Ora sognava una altra vita, un'altra aurora
Anna bello sguardo che ogni giorno perde qualcosa
Sognava un nuovo amore che la portasse altrove
E le ridesse ancora la gioia di non morire sola

Marzio arrivò nell'ora di un pomeriggio di maggio

Anna annaffiava le ginestre

Di fronte alla cella corrispondente per seguirne i racconti

Marzio la incantava intrecciando parole
Pareva un attore in azione, un Adone dietro le sbarre rugginose
E lei che lo ascoltava adorante per ore mentre un sole sornione
Allungava l'ombra della prigione fino al balcone
Diceva di sé: " vuoi fidarti di me
Si, si... ho fatto qualche errore ma adesso so cosa voglio"
Le chiedeva: "non ti fidi me? Vuoi fidarti di me?
Ti porterò con me laddove fiorisce il mondo...

Vedremo tulipani e lavanda fra i vari fiumi d'Olanda
Fra bulbi rari tra i mulini bianchi della Mancha
Fra i rosai di Samarcanda o di Francia
E le ginestre giganti nei grandi giardini de Bahia Blanca...

Vedremo l'alba tra i gelsi, i rododendri ed incensi intensi
I mandorli in fiore tra le felci della valle dei templi
Lì gli arcobaleni e gli steli sono accomunati dall'indaco
Come i sentieri della moschea azzurra di Instanbul...

Passò un anno più un anno e Marzio finì di scontare la pena
Era il mese di Marzo e fuori già si allungava la sera

Anna arrivò puntuale all'orario previsto
Aveva una giacca in misto lino e sul viso un sorriso bellissimo
Attese paziente sotto un fico fiorito in anticipo
Ma per quanto attese fece mattino senza averlo visto

Dopo ore di attesa Anna volle capire il destino assurdo
Così triste e tesa si rivolse al secondino di turno
Gli chiese di Marzio descrivendogli il tipo
" Signora mia, qui questo Marzio Febbraro non è mai esistito..."

Anna looked at her flowers as one looks at their children
