Me dicen: Ya te volveremos a llamar,
Pero no lo harán; lo sé muy bien.
Estoy en la calle y sólo puedo pensar
En la manera de decírselo a Isabel.

Algo triste y yo no sé qué vamos a hacer.
No es un buen momento, porque en Navidad

Isabel's Song

They tell me: We'll call you back,
But they won't; I know it well.
I'm in the street and all I can think about
Is how to tell Isabel.
Behind the door I hear her playing her violin
Something sad and I don't know what we're going to do.
It's not a good time, because at Christmas
Our first baby will be born.
I know my luck too well
But hearing her voice makes me feel a little better.
She says things will change.
I hug her and stay like that, and like that the sun sets.

In this old car it's not so bad;
I've been here for a month with Isabel.
But winter will soon arrive
And our son with it.
I don't get unemployment anymore; Isabel doesn't play her violin.
It's cold and she's not feeling well.
I saw a coat in the mall.
I don't have any money but I have to get it,

I haven't heard from Isabel for two weeks.

With that coat she would have been warm,
