Geeta Nirupan
Geeta Nirupan (Explanation of the Bhagavad Gita)
You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.
Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you should not be attached to not doing your duty.
Your purpose is to act, but you should not expect any reward for your actions.
Do not think about what you will get from your actions, and do not decide not to act either.
There is nothing as pure as knowledge.
One who has mastered Karma Yoga (the yoga of action) automatically attains knowledge over time.
Nothing is as pure as knowledge.
One who has embraced Karma Yoga naturally attains knowledge in due time.
For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked, and for the establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age.
Lord Krishna says, "For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the evil, and for the establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age."
Lord Krishna says, "To protect the righteous, to annihilate the wicked, and to re-establish righteousness, I am born from age to age."
As a person sheds worn-out garments and wears new ones, likewise, at the time of death, the soul casts off its worn-out body and enters a new one.
Just as a person discards worn-out clothes and wears new ones, so does the embodied soul cast off worn-out bodies and enter new ones.
Just as you would discard old clothes and wear new ones,
similarly, the soul leaves its old body and enters a new one.
What lesson should we learn from this?
That we should not be attached to the body or be overly proud of it.
This means that the soul is superior to the body.
Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Bharata, then I manifest Myself.
Whenever righteousness declines and unrighteousness prevails, O descendant of Bharata, I manifest Myself.
Whenever there is a decline of righteousness and a rise of unrighteousness in the world, I manifest Myself on Earth.
Lord Krishna tells us that whenever there is a decline in righteousness and a rise in unrighteousness, He descends upon the Earth.
And whenever He takes an avatar on Earth, Lord Krishna clarifies His purpose.
