Ähm, einer meiner absoluten Lieblingssongs auf dem Album
Ursprünlich war das 'n Daniel Nitt Song

Daniel ist mein Keyboarder und singt auch bei mir live
Unglaublicher Produzent und Künster aus Berlin
Und ich hatt den Song gehört und wusste direkt
Ey, diese- diese Piano Line ist so mega
Ich muss da unbedingt was drauf machen und, äh

Dann haben wir das nochmal live aufgenommen
Nochmal neu Drums eingespielt
Und so musikalisch und soundlich
'N bisschen mehr in meine Richtung geschoben
Und jetzt ist es so 'n Über-Brett geworden, dass es halt die Platte eröffnet

Dann hab ich kurzerhand noch Matteo Capreoli gefragt
Ob er da die Hook drauf machen kann
Und ja, jetzt hört's euch selber an: "Hochhinaus"

Inhaltlich geht's darum: Okay, man war lange weg, ähm
Aber Kompromisse, Tabu, äh, alte Schule
Doch ich kling immer noch frischer als du
Das ist so inhaltlich, worum es geht

"'Upwards" is the opener track of my album
Uhm, one of my absolute favorite songs on the album
Originally it was a Daniel Nitt song

Daniel is my keyboard player and also sings live with me
Incredible producer and artist from Berlin
And I heard the song and knew right away
Hey, this - this piano line is so amazing
I absolutely have to put something on it, and, uh

Then we recorded it live again
Played new drums again
And musically and sound-wise
Pushed it a bit more in my direction
And now it's become such a super-hit that it opens the album

Then I quickly asked Matteo Capreoli
If he could put the hook on it
And yes, now you hear it for yourself: "Upwards"

It's about: Okay, you were gone for a long time, uhm
But compromises, taboos, uh, old school
But I still sound fresher than you
That's what it's about content-wise
