Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Moin Uddin Khawaja Waliyon Ke - traduction des paroles en anglais

Moin Uddin Khawaja Waliyon Ke
The Story of the Saints of Moin Uddin Khawaja
Sun dard kahaani karbal di
Listen to the tale of Karbala's pain,
Akhan khoon de neer uchaal diyan
Eyes shed tears of blood like pouring rain.
Karbal vich jhokan lutiyaan ne
In Karbala, where tyrants caused such plight,
Zahra te ali de laal diyan
They plundered Zahra and Ali's sons' light.
Dil de soz de baaj nahi pata lagda
The heart's burning anguish, its depth unknown,
Sunniye karbal da haal te ki hunda
Hear what unfolded on that fateful morn.
Puchcho dasvin muharaam da aashiqan nu
Ask the lovers of the tenth Muharram's day,
Jadon aawe khayaal te ki hunda
What emotions surge when they recall and pray.
Godi baap de tadaf ke ik waari
Once in his father's lap, he leapt with glee,
Ankhan meett laye baal te ki hunda
But what becomes of him, eyes filled with misery?
Sayim puchcho muhammad nu vich karbal
Ask Sayim, ask Muhammad in Karbala's embrace,
Maari jaawe je aal te ki hunda
What happens when their family faces disgrace?
Sanu pata ki veer di laash jis dam
We know the moment the hero's body lay,
Aake labhdi e bhain te ki hunda
Lifted by his sister, what words can we say?
Dard mandan de dilan nu puch jaake
Ask the hearts of those wounded deep within,
Cham cham barsan je nain te ki hunda
When tears like rain from their eyes begin.
Pucho aabad nu ankhan de saamne je
Ask Aabad, who witnessed with tearful sight,
Kadiyan phuphi nu pain te ki hunda
The shackles that bound his aunt, causing such fright.
Puchcho zahra nu khanjar di dhaar thalle
Ask Zahra, beneath the dagger's cruel blade,
Jadon tadfe hussain te ki hunda
What happened when Hussain, her beloved, swayed?
Phat gaye jigar pahadan de vi kamb gaya jag saara
Hearts shattered, mountains trembled, the world in despair,
Jad asghar de naazak halkon chchuteya khoon phwaara
As Asghar's delicate throat spewed a blood fountain rare.
Sadke sabar tere ton sayim sayyid shah sawaara
Sacrifice and patience, Sayim, oh noble guide,
Jaan ditti par aan na diiti haider de dildaara
He gave his life, but Haider's beloved's honor he did abide.
Karbal vich jadd aal nabi di uthi bad kirdaaran
In Karbala, when the Prophet's family faced such ill fate,
Hooran tadfiyan jannat andar arsheen pain pukaaran
Hooran cried out in heaven, lamenting their state.
Sayim tadaf ke aakhe zainab lai nana hun saaran
Sayim, Zainab cried, calling out to her grandfather dear,
Bagh ujaad ditta ajj tera ummat de badkirdaaran
Your garden lies ravaged by evildoers, drawing near.
Tak veer nu de laashe tayin tadaf payi hamsheera
As she saw her brother's body, the sister's heart did break,
Ik te gal akheeri kar lai bhain luti deya veera
One last time, she spoke, for her soul's sake.
Bhain ghareeb diyan sadran mukkiyan mereya veera
My brother, hear the cries of your impoverished kin,
Gir gaye phul sehre da sayim khoon ch rangeya jheera
The flower of the garland has fallen, blood stains begin.
Haider akbar te chal gayiyaan zulm diyan shamsheeran
Haider, Akbar, succumbed to tyranny's sword so cruel,
Odher bhain udeekan kardi khat nahi ghaleya veeran
While the sister searched frantically, no news of her hero, so cool.
Haawaan maar ke royiyaan raahwan kamb diyan si zanjeeran
She wept and wailed, the chains of oppression did bind,
Kaidi ho jad duniya sayim nabi diyan tasveeran
Imprisoned, the images of the Prophet, she could not find.
Karbal vich jhokan luttiyan ne
In Karbala, where tyrants caused such plight,
Zahra te ali de laal diyan
They plundered Zahra and Ali's sons' light.
Dil hileya arsh muallah da
The throne of God trembled with a mighty shake,
Aaya larzan nu bade khizran nu
Khizr the Green One felt the earth quake.
Kamb utheya roza zahra da
Zahra's shrine shuddered, a sight to behold,
Sun cheekan asghar baal diyan
Hearing the cries of Asghar, the story unfolds.
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hooran's tears flowed like a river's tide,
Atte dhaawan maariyan kursiyan ne
The chairs of the divine court swayed side to side.
Karbal vich laashan tadaf diyan
In Karbala, bodies lay in disarray,
Tak tak ke aseer di aal diyan
As the eyes of the captives watched in dismay.
Maqtal chon langdeyan zainab ne
Zainab stumbled from the battlefield's scene,
Keha laashe vekh shaheedan de
"Behold the bodies of martyrs, once so keen.
Kithe chchup gayon mere chann veeran
Where have you gone, my beloved brothers, so bright?
Tainu kehndi bhaina bhaal diyan
Your sister calls out, searching for your light."
Kidda kehar te zulm kamaaya e
What cruelty and oppression did they bestow,
Lai akbar da laasha sayyid jad kheme wal aaya
When Sayyid returned with Akbar's body, filled with woe?
Asmaanan nu larza aaya malkan hosh wanjaaya
The heavens trembled, angels lost their sense,
Zainab bhain nu aake sayim sayyid ne farmaaya
Sayyid addressed Zainab, with mournful eloquence.
Lutt leya ajj bhaina tera kufiyan sab sarmaaya
"Sister, they have plundered your treasures today," he sighed,
Cham cham khoon ankhan chon wagda dil tukde ho jaaye
Tears of blood stream down, hearts torn open wide.
Karbal waale peer sachche di yaad jadon vi aawe
When memories of Karbala's saint arise,
Raati bhi zehra di sayim hanju payi wagawe
Even at night, Zehra's tears fill the skies.
Laashan nu payi waajan maare atte veer veer kurlaawe
She mourns the bodies, crying out in despair,
Sakhi hussain ne kam jo keeta kar nahi sakda koi
"Oh Hussain, your deeds, no one can compare."
Koi nahi royiyaan vichchdan lagiyan jehve dhee hussain di royi
No one has wept with such heartfelt cries,
Veer jehde pardesi jaawan gham hijr da jaane soyi
As Hussain's daughter, tears streaming from her eyes.
Sayim mehshar tak nayi bhulni jehdi karbal de vich hoyi
Those who journey far, know the pain of separation's sting,
Jad ton sayyid mazloom shaheed hoya
Sayim, until judgement day, the tragedy of Karbala will ring.
Shafaq subah di ohde ton ratti ho gayi
Since the day Sayyid, the oppressed, was slain,
Panjtan paak de gushan e paak utte
The dawn's glow has turned crimson with pain.
Meri oh challi patti patti ho gayi
Upon the sacred bodies of the Holy Five,
Jad akbar jawaan da khoon dulla
My shawl lies torn, unable to revive.
Ret karbalan di hor tatti ho gayi
When young Akbar's blood stained the ground,
Udhar zahra da bujheya chirag sayim
The sands of Karbala were forever bound.
Udharon gul si kufr di batti ho gayi
Zahra's lamp extinguished, its light now dim,
Kidda kehar te zulm kamaaya e
While the flame of disbelief began to brim.
Ral mil ke koofe waleyan ne
What cruelty and oppression did they bestow,
Sab kaliyan narm tharu sittiyan
The people of Kufa, united in their woe,
Panjtan de shajar de daal diyan
Plucked the tender buds, branches so frail,
Shabbeer de sar ne neze te
From the family tree of the Prophet, they did prevail.
Chad ke oh jalwa vekh leya
Shabbeer's head, upon the spear held high,
Oh toor utte chehre jalwe nu
Witnessed a sight that made angels cry.
Musa diyan galiyan bhaaldiyan
On Mount Sinai, Moses searched in vain,
Dil hileya arsh muallah da
For the radiant face, seeking to explain.
Aaya larzan nu ate hizran nu
The throne of God trembled with a mighty shake,
Kamb utheya roza zahra da
Khizr the Green One felt the earth quake.
Sunn cheekan asghar baal diyann
Zahra's shrine shuddered, a sight to behold,
Karbal vich tuttiyan hoyiyaan di
Hearing the cries of Asghar, the story unfolds.
Nayi yaad bhulaayan bhul sakdi
The tragedies of Karbala, etched in our mind,
Laye jaan muharram de das din
We cannot forget, though years we may find.
Sab khushiyan poore saal diyan
For ten days of Muharram, we shed tears of pain,
Maqtal chon langdeyan zainab ne
Sacrificing joys of the year, again and again.
Keha laashe dekh shaheedan de
Zainab stumbled from the battlefield's scene,
Kithe chchup gayon mere chann veeran
"Behold the bodies of martyrs, once so keen.
Tainu kehndi bhaina bhaal diyan
Where have you gone, my beloved brothers, so bright?
Je eh nahi qayaamat aye ′Sayim'
Your sister calls out, searching for your light."
Pher hor qayaamat kehdi e
If this is not the Day of Judgement, Sayim, I plead,
Ik mile na paani pyaseyan nu
Then what greater calamity could we concede?
Ik dhuban khanga bhaal diyan
The thirsty ones were denied a single drop,
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
While blood stained their armor, a sight that would never stop.
Gali gali madine de cheekh uthi
Hooran's tears flowed like a river's tide,
Jadon karbaal da shahsawaar tureya
Cries echoed through Medina's streets so wide,
Eh te jigra hussain da hi jaande
When Karbala's warrior embarked on his way,
Kivein bachi nu deke pyar tureya
Only Hussain's heart knew the price he would pay.
Ghar nu chchadd ke koi ni inj tureya
None leave their home with such love and grace,
Maula ali da jivein dildaar tureya
Like Ali's beloved, leaving without a trace.
Sayim tadfeya jag si jadon sayim
Sayim, the world trembled and shook with despair,
Chadre amma de hujre nu maar chaleya
As he kissed his mother's veil and bid farewell with care.
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hooran's tears flowed like a river's tide,
Sakhi hussain di dard kahaani
The tale of Hussain's pain, so deep inside,
Bhala koi sun sakke
Can anyone truly comprehend its plight?
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hooran's tears flowed like a river's tide,
Atte dhaawan maariyan kursiyan ne
The chairs of the divine court swayed side to side.
