Tala Al Badru

Assalamu 'Alaykum

طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاعْ Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَليْنَا Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
مَادَعَى لِلّٰهِ دَاعْ Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
اَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوْثُ فِيْنَا Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
جِئْتَ بِالْاَمْر الْمُطَاعاَ Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
جئت شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِيْنَة Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
مَرْحَبًايَاخَيْرَادَاع Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

طلع النور المبين نور خير المرسلين Tala'
An-noorul-mubin, nooru khayril mursaleen
نور أمن وسلام نور حق ويقين Nooru
Amnin wasalaam, nooru haqqin wa yaqeen
ساقه الله تعالى رحمة للعالمين saaqah
Ullahi ta'ala, rahmatul lil-'alameen
فعلى البر شعاع وعلى البحر شعاع
Fa'alal bari sh'aa' wa 'alal bahri sh'aa'

مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاعْ Min thanīyyātil-wadā'

مَادَعَى لِلّٰهِ دَاعْ Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
اَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوْثُ فِيْنَا Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
جِئْتَ بِالْاَمْر الْمُطَاعاَ Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
جئت شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِيْنَة Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
مَرْحَبًايَاخَيْرَادَاع Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

مرسل بالحق جاء نطقه وحي السماء
Mursalu bilhaqqi jaa', nutquhu wahyus-samaa'
قوله قول فصيح يتحدى البلغاء Qawluhu
Qawlun faseehun, yatahaddal bulagha
فيه للجسم شفاء فيه للروح دواء Feehi
Liljismi shifa'an feehi lir-roohi dawaa'
أيها الهادي سلاماً ما وعى القرآن واع
Ayyuhal haadi salaaman, ma wa'al qur'aan waa'

طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاعْ Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَليْنَا Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
مَادَعَى لِلّٰهِ دَاعْ Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
اَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوْثُ فِيْنَا Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
جِئْتَ بِالْاَمْر الْمُطَاعاَ Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
جئت شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِيْنَة Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
مَرْحَبًايَاخَيْرَادَاع Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

جاءنا الهادي البشير مطرق العاني الأسير
Ja'anal hadil bashir, mutriqul 'aanil aseer
مرشد الساعي إذا ما أخطأ الساعي المسير
Murshidus sa'ee izha ma, akhta'as saa'il maseer
دينه حق صُراح دينه ملك كبير Deenuhu
Haqqun suraahun, deenuhu mulkun kabeer
هو في الدنيا نعيم وهو في الأخرى متاعHuwa
Fid dunya na'eemun, wahuwa fil ukhra mataa'

طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاعْ Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَليْنَا Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
مَادَعَى لِلّٰهِ دَاعْ Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
اَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوْثُ فِيْنَا Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
جِئْتَ بِالْاَمْر الْمُطَاعاَ Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
جئت شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِيْنَة Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
مَرْحَبًايَاخَيْرَادَاع Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

الله الله Allah, Allah
مالنا مولىً سوى الله Maalana mawla siwallah
كلَ ما ناديت ياهو . قال يا عبدى ا
نا الله Kulla maa nadaytu yaho, qaala ya 'abdi ana Allah

طَلَعَ الْبَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
مِنْ ثَنِيَاتِ الْوَدَاعْ Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَليْنَا Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
مَادَعَى لِلّٰهِ دَاعْ Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
اَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوْثُ فِيْنَا Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
جِئْتَ بِالْاَمْر الْمُطَاعاَ Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
جئت شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِيْنَة Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
مَرْحَبًايَاخَيْرَادَاع Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

Tala Al Badru (The Full Moon Rose Over Us)

Peace be upon you

The full moon rose over us, Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
From the valley of Wada', Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude, Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
As long as anyone calls others to Allah, Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
Oh, the one who was sent to us, Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
You have come with the Command that must be obeyed, Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
You have come and honored the city, Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
Welcome, oh best of those who call to Allah, Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

The manifest light has risen, the light of the best of messengers, Tala'
An-noorul-mubin, nooru khayril mursaleen
The light of safety and peace, the light of truth and certainty, Nooru
Amnin wasalaam, nooru haqqin wa yaqeen
Allah the Almighty sent him as a mercy to the worlds, saaqah
Ullahi ta'ala, rahmatul lil-'alameen
His light shines on the land and on the sea,
Fa'alal bari sh'aa' wa 'alal bahri sh'aa'

The full moon rose over us, Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
From the valley of Wada', Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude, Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
As long as anyone calls others to Allah, Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
Oh, the one who was sent to us, Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
You have come with the Command that must be obeyed, Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
You have come and honored the city, Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
Welcome, oh best of those who call to Allah, Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

Sent with the truth he came, his speech is the revelation of the heavens,
Mursalu bilhaqqi jaa', nutquhu wahyus-samaa'
His words are eloquent, challenging the orators, Qawluhu
Qawlun faseehun, yatahaddal bulagha
In it is a cure for the body and a remedy for the soul, Feehi
Liljismi shifa'an feehi lir-roohi dawaa'
Oh guide, peace be upon you, as long as the Quran is understood,
Ayyuhal haadi salaaman, ma wa'al qur'aan waa'

The full moon rose over us, Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
From the valley of Wada', Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude, Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
As long as anyone calls others to Allah, Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
Oh, the one who was sent to us, Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
You have come with the Command that must be obeyed, Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
You have come and honored the city, Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
Welcome, oh best of those who call to Allah, Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

The guiding light came to us, freeing the burdened and the captive,
Ja'anal hadil bashir, mutriqul 'aanil aseer
He guides those who seek when they stray from the path,
Murshidus sa'ee izha ma, akhta'as saa'il maseer
His religion is pure truth, his religion is a great kingdom, Deenuhu
Haqqun suraahun, deenuhu mulkun kabeer
It is bliss in this world and a treasure in the Hereafter, Huwa
Fid dunya na'eemun, wahuwa fil ukhra mataa'

The full moon rose over us, Tala' al-badru 'alaynā
From the valley of Wada', Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude, Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
As long as anyone calls others to Allah, Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
Oh, the one who was sent to us, Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
You have come with the Command that must be obeyed, Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
You have come and honored the city, Ji'ta sharraft al-madīnah
Welcome, oh best of those who call to Allah, Marḥaban yā khayra dā'

Allah, Allah
We have no protector but Allah, Maalana mawla siwallah
Whenever I call upon Him, He says, "Oh My servant, I am Allah,"
Kulla maa nadaytu yaho, qaala ya 'abdi ana Allah

From the valley of Wada', Min thanīyyātil-wadā'
And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude, Wajab al-shukru 'alaynā
As long as anyone calls others to Allah, Mā da'á lillāhi dā'
Oh, the one who was sent to us, Ayyuhal mab'ūthu fīnā
You have come with the Command that must be obeyed, Ji'ta bil-amri al-mutā'
