Nerád platím dane, kde by som vzal na ne,
Kone milé majte prosím, so mnou zľutovanie,
Práve kvôli daniam, ležím oplani,
Ponorený po krk vo vani,

Kone moje vrané, vravím odovzdane,
Prestaňte ma z vane ťahať, to vám nepristane,
Mali by ste radšej cválať po lúke,
Keby bola dáka po ruke,

Kone moje vrané, dane nepriznané,

Štyri kocky cukru nové postroje,

Four black horses,
Pull me from the tub,

The blackest horses from our district,

Four uninvited black horses,
In the tub they float in fours, a court summons

Legal action awaits you,
I don't like paying taxes, where would I get them,
Dear horses, please have mercy on me,
Because of taxes, I lie flat,
Immersed in the tub up to my neck,

My black horses, I say resignedly,
Stop pulling me out of the tub, it doesn't suit you,
You should rather gallop through the meadow,

Silently they drink, the water from my tub
