Andersen's Fault - Phil Like Live

I used to believe that humility was the way
But it seems that the truth is the opposite
In this chaotic world, classic virtues seem irrelevant
Why is evil so revered, while good is often neglected?

Perhaps it's the fault of Andersen's tales
His stories have made me believe in the goodness of the world
If I kept believing in his version of reality
If I continued to be virtuous
Would heaven protect me, without me having to sacrifice anything?

I look up at the sky and see the stars shining
I look back and see my shadow, always close by
My mother's words from long ago now resonate in my mind
The lessons I learned as a child remain true and valuable

Despite the flaws in Andersen's stories
I can't bear to see him vilified
Even if I'm naive
I will continue to believe in virtue
I hope that heaven will reward my goodness
Oh, I still have the courage, the heart
My morals are still intact
I believe that there's still hope
Even in this cruel world

Andersen's stories may not be perfect
But I don't want you to destroy his legacy
I may be naive, but I will continue to be virtuous
In the end, heaven will protect me
