"Piano, piano, ho paura di svegliare i miei:
Chiudiamoci di lá, nessuno ci vedrà, nessuno sentirà".
Strano, strano, è stata lei
A cercarmi, a dirmi "Questa notte voglio te,
T'aspetto a casa mia". Ed io non so chi sia,
Ed io non so chi sia. C'è, nella stanza,
L'ombra tesa di qualcosa che non so;
Lei mi stringe ed io mi chiedo che cosa ho,
Lei mi dice "In casa porto chi mi va,
Nessuno sentirà, nessuno ci vedrà".
Piano, piano, ma cosa c'è?
C'è qualcuno in casa che si muove e viene qui,
Lei dice "Resta lì", sorride strana e poi
"Abbracciami se vuoi".
Strano, strano, lei non tremò
Ma sorrise a chi era entrato lì, davanti a noi,
A chi gridava a lei "Amore cosa fai, amore cosa fai".
Io, nella stanza,
Era come non ci fossi neanche più;
Lei diceva "Te la sei voluta tu,
Non credevi che sapessi farlo anch'io:
Sbagliavi, amore mio, sbagliavi amore mio".
Piano, piano, io me ne andai.
Nella storia la mia parte ormai finiva lì;
Nemmeno mi voltai, nessuno mi fermò, non li ho rivisti mai.

"Slowly, slowly," she said,
"Slowly, slowly, I'm afraid to wake my family:
Let's close ourselves in there, nobody will see us, nobody will hear us".
Strange, strange, it was her
Who looked for me, to tell me "I want you tonight,
I'm waiting for you at my house". And I don't know who she is,
And I don't know who she is. There is,
In the room, the tense shadow of something I don't know;
She hugs me and I wonder what I have,
She says "I bring home whoever I want,
Nobody will hear, nobody will see us".
Slowly, slowly, but what's up?
There's someone in the house moving and coming here,
She says "Stay there", smiles strange and then
"Hug me if you want".
Strange, strange, she didn't tremble
But she smiled at who had come in there, before us,
At who was shouting at her "Love what are you doing, love what are you doing".
I, in the room,
It was as if I wasn't even there anymore;
She said "You wanted it,
You didn't think I could do it too:
You were wrong, my love, you were wrong my love".
Slowly, slowly, I left.
In the story my part was over by now;
I didn't even turn around, nobody stopped me, I never saw them again.
