An klanen Buam sei Vater zeigt
Wie mühelos a Drachen steigt

Da Vater hat das schon geahnt

Da Vater is ihm fremder word'n
Sie gengan auseinand im Zorn
Und die Jahre ziag'n vorbei
Da Vater war sei Leb'n lang stü
Hat nie kriagt was er wirklich wü
Doch er wü alles hab'n, am besten glei
Sei bester Freund sagt: "Ka Problem"
Und er hat ihm a paar Tabletten geb'

The Kite

A small boy's father shows
How effortless a kite soars
"Just hold the string tight!"

Suddenly he feels the pull,
As if it wanted him to join it's flight
A gust of wind
And it tears loose,
The little one looks up and cries
The father knew it all along
And says:
"Don't be sad, my boy,
Now it will fly as high as it can
Perhaps even into the sun"

The father became distant
And we parted in anger
And the years went by
The father lived his life in silence
Never got what he really wanted
But he wanted everything, right now
His best friend said: "No problem"
And gave him some pills
