Aquí les traigo el corrido
De la hacienda de La Joya,
Voy a cantar la tragedia
De los hermanos Bedolla.

Andando los dos tomando
Efrén le dice a Vicente:
Me gusta mucho tu esposa,
Aunque lo sepa la gente.

Vicente le contestó:
A Cristina no la nombres,
Que por algo que se quiere
Siempre se matan los hombres.

Pero Efrén vuelve a insistirle:
No quería que te enteraras,
Porque Cristina fue mía
Antes de que se casaran.

Vicente sacó su escuadra
Diciendo: aquí está tu amada,
Acribillándolo a tiros
Allá por la madrugada.

Cuando Efrén cayó al suelo
También le disparó a tiempo,
Muriendo así por Cristina
Los hermanos al momento.

Vuelen senzontles norteños
Y llévense este corrido
Se mataron dos hermanos,
Acribillándose a tiros.

Bedolla Brothers Corrido

I bring you this corrido
From the Hacienda de La Joya,
I'll tell of the tragic tale
Of the Bedolla brothers.

One night, the two were drinking,
Efrén said to Vicente:
I'm smitten with your wife,
Though all may find out.

Vicente answered:
Don't speak of Cristina,
For there are things one loves
One may kill for.

But Efrén pressed him still:
I did not mean to tell,
For Cristina was mine
Before you wed.

Vicente pulled out his pistol
And said: Here's your beloved,
And shot him down at dawn
As the morning broke.

But as Efrén fell to the ground,
Vicente shot himself,
Dying for Cristina
Together on the spot.

Now let the northern mockingbirds fly,
And carry this corrido,
Of brothers who slew each other,
Shot down on that fatal day.
